Izmir University of Economics Project Development and Technology Transfer Office works to develop all entrepreneurial activities, including students who want to understand the philosophy of entrepreneurship, startups ready for incorporation, social entrepreneurs, and academic entrepreneurship.
It aims to support entrepreneurs who contribute significantly to the commercialization of innovative ideas that will create sustainable added value on national and international platforms and to the development of solutions to social problems under all circumstances.
It provides training and consultancy to the entrepreneur in the process from idea to commercialization by constructing acceleration programs in line with the needs of entrepreneurs. It also aims to contribute to the ecosystem by directing entrepreneurs to national and international competitions and mechanisms, and by making the right match in the venture-funding process.
IUE TTO | DesignX Pre Incubation Program
Organized by Izmir University of Economics Technology Transfer Office, Turkey’s first and only product and design-oriented entrepreneurial acceleration program aims to create creative products and services through technology-design cooperation.
In applied studies, prospective entrepreneurs work together, using the design thinking methodology, and develop their business ideas together. During the process, prospective entrepreneurs do research in the field and receive mentoring support with training workshops. They produce prototypes at the University’s Design Workshop and exhibit their products at the DesignX Demo Day, where investors will also participate at the end of the program, are supported in line with their needs and have the opportunity to bring their business ideas to life.
